Default Malc's Independance Day Show
Many of us struggle with elderly parents.....my Mum is in the final stages of dementia and lives in a nursing home where all the residents have Alzheimers or similar illnesses......so I was thrilled when Malc told me he was taking his show on the road to Bay House in Hastings.

The logistics of doing a Flatcast like this are difficult ..... two laptops needed and Malc will find it strange listening to himself back through a second pc ...... so I just want to thank Malc for doing this for his local community...... says alot about Malc..... all good!

Music, rather than television, really gets through to dementia sufferers, and I know that they will all be singing along those old wartime songs and Elvis tunes and really enjoying themselves. I have danced with several of the people at Mum's home when they play Elvis cds........there can be alot of fun and joy in a dementia home...and I know Malc will feel that on Saturday.

An example of someone using their love for music - and Elvis in particular to make a difference.....

Thankyou jean so much.
I am looking forward to this Saturdays "First" in the Flatcast shows..I did a test run last night and the folk were singing along.I wont tell you how nervous I am...But I have the love and support of everyone here to help me through it.
Music playes a huge part in all of our lives..and wether old or young..Life is still for living,and If I can help bring a smile to ..even just a few..then it will all be worth it..Already I have requests from some of the patients
We are LIVE this Saturday 3pm UK time...on the road...fingers crossed all the equipement works smoothly for us
