"I was on tour in America and some kid came up and gave me a blue nylon scarf that Elvis had once worn. Signed by Elvis, with his sweat on it. Everyone in the crew wanted to hold it, as if it was a relic of the true Cross." ~ Adam Ant..... speaking of the best gift he has ever received.

Elvis was the master. He took the world by storm at 19 years old. How does anyone handle that much pressure and with such grace? Yet, he never took any of it for granted. He was the most well known entertainer of all time yet he never forgot where he came from. Elvis always put others before him...whether that be his family, his friends, or his fans. Elvis was a giver. And his music...!! His voice will still rip right through to your soul. He may not have liked being called the King...but he was the Master!!!

I wish he could have known how much we all loved him and how amazing he was and still is. I'd like to know if it would have made a difference and if he would have taken better care of himself if he had known how much we loved him and that we would have supported him totally. He had the world dumped at his feet at 19 years old. That is a very big load to carry. I know he made some bad decisions, but I feel like he made some of those because he was trying to keep up the pace and to give his fans what they wanted. So, if he had known then how much we all still love him today...would it have made a difference?

I am the mother of 3 of the most amazing children on this earth. Leah is in her junior year of nursing at Belmont University. Joseph is a freshman at the University of Tennessee. And, Kaitlyn is a 7th grader and a rock star on the soccer field. I am divorced and have no plans for marriage again until I get to Heaven and marry Elvis! I have been an Elvis fan since the '68 Comeback Special. I was lucky enough to have seen him in concert once and twice at Graceland. The man was amazing!
