I LOVE Sandi Pichon's book "Raised on ELVIS! ELVIS! ELVIS!" If you haven't read it get it and read it. Its an amazing read!
I like Elvis' charm, wit, humor, his search for something greater than himself, the fact that he BELIEVED in something greater than himself, the way his voice has such emotion that you feel every word he sings, and most of all I LOVE the respect he showed his fans. You talk to any fan who met Elvis and they will tell you he never made you feel like you were a burden or he didnt want you around. He appreciated and respected them and in turn they appreciated and respected him.AND STILL DO!!!
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO HIM?
I would love to say to Elvis that he didnt need to push himself so hard. We would have loved and respected him no matter what. He could have taken a break and rested we would have been here when he came back.
